Fall 2024

Saturday, August 3

Summer School students transition to fall housing assignments (unless different date provided by Residential Life). 

Students not living on campus during Fall 2024 must be moved out by 12:00 PM.

Sunday, August 11

Halls open for students registered for Bridge Week. Meal plans are available for use beginning at 12:00 PM. 

Housing and food daily usage refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.

Thursday, August 15Halls open for those who live locally (by invitation only).
Friday, August 16 – Sunday, August 18 By Appointment Only

Halls open for regular move in. Students should arrive according to their selected appointment times. Meal plans are available for use upon arrival.

 Incoming freshmen move-in is Friday and Saturday by appointment as specific programming is provided for them.

 Returning student move-in is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday by appointment. Limited appointments for Friday and Saturday.

Saturday, August 17All incoming freshman students should be moved in by 4:00 PM.
Tuesday, August 20

First day of fall classes. No show date (failure to move in does not cancel student’s financial responsibility for housing and food charges).

 Housing and food 75% refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts. 

Students not checked in by 12:00 PM will have card access and dining plan removed until they check in.

Monday, August 26Last day to register/add classes for fall semester.
Tuesday, August 27Residents who are not enrolled in fall classes (zero credit hour class schedule) must be checked out within 48 hours.
Friday, August 30Last Day to lower fall semester meal plans.
Monday, September 2Labor Day. No day or evening classes. University Offices are closed.
Sunday, September 8Housing and food 50% refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Sunday, October 6Housing and food 25% refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Friday, October 11Fall Break. No day or evening classes. All University Offices remain open
Sunday, November 3Housing and food 0% refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Saturday, November 23Residence Halls close for Thanksgiving Break at 12:00 PM. Break housing and apartments remain open. Meal plan usage ends at 12:00 PM; last meal served will be brunch in Sycamore Dining.
Thursday, November 28 – Friday, November 29University Offices are closed for Thanksgiving Break.
Sunday, December 1Residence Halls open after Thanksgiving Break at 12:00 PM. Meal plans are available for use beginning at 2:00 PM.
Saturday, December 14

Residence Halls close for Winter/Semester Break at 12:00 PM.

 Break housing and apartments remain open. Meal plan usage ends at 12:00 PM; last meal served will be brunch in Sycamore Dining.

Sunday, December 15Residents participating in Commencement must be checked out by 12:00 PM.
Tuesday, December 24 – Wednesday, January 1Winter Recess. University Offices are closed.

 

Spring 2025

Thursday, January 2University Offices re-open.
Thursday, January 2 – Wednesday, January 8 By Appointment OnlyResidents withdrawing from the University and/or Academically Dismissed students must set an appointment to check out during these designated days.
Thursday, January 9Opening for incoming new freshman and new transfer students only. New residents will be sent information about their move-in time. Housing and food daily usage refund period begins for withdrawal checkouts.
Saturday, January 11Residence Halls open for returning students at 12:00 PM (no appointment needed).
Sunday, January 12Meal plans are available for use beginning at 12:00 PM.

Summer 2025

Saturday, May 10Transition to summer housing period. Residents continuing into summer housing remain in spring housing assignment.
Sunday, May 11 – Monday, May 12Summer school and late-stay students move to summer assignments.
Monday, May 19First day of summer classes.
Monday, May 26Memorial Day. No day or evening classes. University Offices are closed.
Thursday, June 19Juneteenth. No day or evening classes. University Offices are closed.
Friday, July 4Independence Day. No day or evening classes. University Offices are closed.
